Artist's Comments

Finally I had some time off.. This took me around two days to complete, as I was really trying hard to focus on some details. [I was also trying a different approach with the pen tool, which made some difference to the outcome.]
As always I reach a point where it seems done and no additional work seems necessary.

The pic is one I took of my girlfriend; and the title from an Opeth track..

The pose of the subject, the soft colors, the rather minimal vexelling - all comes together so nicely in Death Whispered a Lullaby by ~somesoul. (Featured by `Jules1983)

This work is very cool. I love the way you did the shading particually
:iconsomesoul:
Thanks! I envy the people who are masters at illustrator - they seem to have a mesh tool which works quite nicely. With this vexel I paid a lot of attention to colours and shading to get a smoother look.

Logic? Who's That?
:iconsomesoul:
Thanks! I'm so impressed by the vectors created in illustrator, that I guess I'm trying to get that 'look' with photoshop. I'd like to improve my hair-drawing techniques though.. some folks here get it to look so real!
:iconsomesoul:
Well thank-you! I'm trying hard to improve on subtle details, as that is what makes something striking - to me atleast. Thanks again!
